Greg Thornton (UK), driving the 1982 JPS Lotus 91, sets up for turn six at Road America during the 2021 Brian Redman International Challenge. Because of advances in aerodynamic technology, the financial need for sponsor logos dominating car liveries and other factors, the aesthetics of Formula 1 cars largely declined since the 1960s. The beautiful Lotus 91 was one of the few exceptions.
