Description
Rhea is one of the larger members of Saturn's family of 62 natural satellites. In this view from the moon's icy surface, Saturn is accompanied by two of Rhea's sister moons--tiny Mimas is just above the ring plane at left and Titan orbits far beyond the planet at upper right.

I love this piece James! Saturn was always my favorite planet (aside from Earth that is). L/F
James Hervat replied:
Thank you Kathy, it means a lot coming from you--I really admire your work! Just love the Corgis!

This is an amazing image. Is it a composite of images that you were able to access from the Internet? l/f
James Hervat replied:
Thank you, Judi! This was completely hand-rendered by me in Photoshop, as is all of my non-photography artwork (except for a few older pieces done in oils). The landscape in this scene, however, was referenced from my own Death Valley photos--I confess that I'm not very good at creating landscape textures from my own imagination. My rocks always seem to end up looking like potatoes! I admire your photography immensely--get out and shoot that comet tonight!
